Family Mission Trip
July 20-23
This is the best mission opportunity for families. We serve together in backyard Bible clubs, evangelism, and light construction. We will be going to Nicoma Park First Baptist Church, Oklahoma this year.
$100 per person with a family cap of $250.
Wednesday Night
Cook Team
Every Wednesday, a team of volunteers cooks a meal for the community. There are at least five-six teams every semester that serve on a rotation and provide a menu with excellent variety and quality. You can help with the shopping, cooking, serving, or cleaning. This is a great first volunteer opportunity and a good way to fellowship as you serve the church! The meals cost $5 for adults, $2 for kids, and there is a $15 maximum per family. Contact denisehendley@hotmail.com to sign up for a cook team today!
Age-Based Ministries
Adults age 18 and older can volunteer for kids and student ministry after you have joined the church, gone through a background check, and visited with the Kids Minister or Student Pastor about volunteer opportunities. Some roles require extra training.

Missions
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
FBC Farmersville is an Acts 1:8 Church. We have a history and commitment to meeting the physical and spiritual needs of people in our own city, state, nation, and around the world.
Right now, we are involved in Farmersville with many opportunities. We do a monthly outreach. We go and meet our neighbors to share information about our church and most importantly, share the gospel of Jesus Christ. We also lead the efforts of the food and clothing pantry, City on a Hill (COAH). Other times we help local neighbors who might need a helping hand with a construction need.
Within our state, we have opportunities to serve with Texas Baptist Men and Disaster Relief. Often, those who serve with these ministries, travel outside of Texas. We have a men’s ministry that will complete construction efforts within and outside of Texas.
In the United States, we currently partner with a church revitalization effort in Oklahoma City. We are also partnering in Puerto Rico with a national church planter to assist in raising strong national churches.
Our church even goes to the ends of the earth! We are currently working with a people group in West Africa who desperately need the Lord.
As you can see, mission efforts are in our DNA. We love telling others about Christ. If you would like to be a part of the mission efforts of FBC Farmersville, please reach out to me at nancy@fbcfarmersville.com.
City On A Hill
FBC Farmersville partners with other area churches to help the poor and suffering. We operate an assistance center in the Sugar Hill Center at 1055 W Audie Murphy Pkwy, Farmersville, TX 75442. Our church collects donations of food and clothing to stock the assistance center. We have teams which serve once a month on Sunday afternoons from 2-4 pm. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Tracy Barber.
Outreach
We are committed to telling people about Jesus and inviting them to follow him. Currently, we do monthly outreach called “Reaching Farmersville,” on Sunday afternoons/evenings. We typically take information about upcoming events, knock on doors, offer to pray for people, invite people to church, and prayerfully seek opportunities to share the gospel.
